The United States and the Inter-American System – Challenges and Opportunities

On March 7th, the Institute welcomes its Distinguished Speaker U.S. Ambassador to the Organization of American States Francisco O. Mora to talk about “The United States and the Inter-American System -Challenges and Opportunities.”  The free public in-person event will be held at the Institute’s meeting facilities on the UC San Diego campus.

Ambassador Mora is a thought leader and former professor and researcher of politics and international relations at Florida International University’s Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy.  In prior positions he served as Director of the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center and as Deputy Secretary of Defense for the Western Hemisphere.  His opinion pieces and other commentaries have appeared in various U.S and Latin American media outlets.
