March Energy Panorama 2023
Welcome to the March installment of Energy Panorama.
The countdown is on for this year’s edition of the Madrid Energy Conference on April 18-20. We invite you to join us in Madrid. We have developed a robust agenda and diverse roster of speakers and participants from over 55 companies and institutions from across Europe, Latin America and the United States. Our tag line Where Europe and Latin America meet for energy dialogue remains our guiding objective.
As part of the preparations for the Madrid Energy Conference, we spoke to Panama’s Deputy Secretary of Energy, Rosilena Lindo, for a Curtain Raiser interview. Deputy Secretary Lindo offered key insights and an inspirational overview of what is transpiring today on the key energy and climate challenges in Panama and how they pertain to the discussions set to take place in Madrid.
In early March, we co-hosted a webinar: Testing Resiliency – Latin America and the Caribbean Energy Outlook featuring a presentation by Sproule experts Chris Mylde and Jorge Milanese and a panel discussion with Carla Lacerda, Institute of the Americas Non-Resident Fellow and former ExxonMobil Brazil Country Chair and Jeremy Martin.
The Energy & Sustainability Steering Committee met this month to review and further define the program and activity calendar for 2023, as well as key topics and themes for inclusion in our upcoming events. The calendar points to an increasingly busy year with our third and final Geothermal in the Americas webinar (May 5), Roundtables in Brazil (June 27-28), Argentina (late August) and Mexico (December). And, of course, our XXXII annual La Jolla Energy Conference here in our Pacific home (October 11-12).
