Energy Panorama April 2022
Welcome to the April edition of Energy Panorama.
April was a momentous month with the return of our in-person events. We were very pleased to head to Spain and relaunch the Madrid Energy Conference: Where Europe and Latin America meet for energy dialogue. The importance of how to balance energy security and climate action cut across all our panels and discussions. A special thanks to everyone who joined us and particularly our sponsors: Chevron, Clifford Chance, Holland & Knight, Integra Capital, Repsol and Sproule. Stay tuned for our event report coming soon.
We have two featured pieces of analysis this month to share.
First is a compilation of essays focused on the electric sector in Mexico. Following up on the historic vote in Congress on Easter, our Mexico team shared their thoughts and insights: Easter and Electricity in Mexico – The Electric Sector Reform Debate, Congressional Vote and What Comes Next
Second is the report based upon discussions and the proceedings at a forum we supported that was hosted by the Mexican Congress assessing the country’s economic competitiveness: Desafíos y Oportunidades para el Sector Productivo de México
April also saw the culmination of our research on energy transition and workforce readiness and a presentation of the draft report and conclusions to survey participants and stakeholders. We will launch our Energy Transition Snap Shots, full report and “Energy Transition Workforce Readiness Barometer” in the coming days. Stay tuned!
Speaking of our return of in-person events, next month we relaunch our Argentina Energy Roundtable on May 16-17 in Buenos Aires in collaboration with our partner CEARE.
Please also mark your calendars for June 10 when we kick off our collaboration with the Geothermal Energy Advancement Association on a new webinar series focused on geothermal in the Americas.
